Suppose you go to the scanning option and only see periods without any dropdown selections. Once you’ve adjusted the settings, you’ll need to scan to find the discoverable UPnP servers in your network. It acts as both the controller and the rendered so that you can enjoy some incredible music! You don’t need to have moOde started in rendered mode to achieve this outcome unless you’re using a version older than 6. Since you can listen to audiophile-quality music through moOde 6 (or the latest version) and your Raspberry Pi, it makes sense to set up your UPnP server as an audio source. You’ll need to click Set before scanning for the server. You’ll need to go to the audio configuration page, scroll to the UPnP/DLNA option, and switch the UPnP Media Browser to the “on” setting. If you have a UPnP audio source to use with moOde, you can set up this option rather conveniently. If you need any additional help, the play menu can answer most of your other questions. You’ll run through the setup guide to get everything started. Once you’ve done that, you can start your Raspberry Pi.

You receive a download ZIP file with an ISO image that’s ready to use immediately. It’s an affordable way to increase your listening enjoyment while helping you enjoy the fun that comes with your own computer build. Īdditional information can be found here (including configuration guidelines) -Īgain, I can't provide guidance on the control point, as you don't indicate what device is being used. The moOde™ audio player delivers music playback with audiophile quality through the Raspberry Pi family of personal computing. The service should be running following successful install. $sudo dpkg -i bubbleupnpserver_0.9-5_all.deb With that in mind, simply SSH into the Pi and issue the following commands - $wget You don't say what stage you are at with the Raspberry Pi build, so I am going to make the assumption that you have Raspbian, or similar, already installed. I know you are controlling it via Naim app but how would you control it without Naim app?

I'm using Bubble on my mac to stream Tidal to to my Raspberry how do I download Bubble directly on to the Raspberry? And could you post instructions on how to download MoodeAudio player to the Pi as I woul like to try it. The control point is also the Naim app in this example. If so, I would be keen to understand how the search feature is enabled. This would be a major omission for me and so I'm curious as to whether you have this working in your environment or not? However, one key feature I’m missing is the ability to search Qobuz.

Having successfully compiled and configured Moode (for integration with Qobuz), initial tests seem promising. Like yourself, my plan was to setup a second Pi running Moode prior to conducting a side-by-side comparison, against BubbleUPnP, of usability and sound. I never got on with Lumin etc so am happy that the control is vis Naims UPnP menu option.Īs an existing BubbleUPnP, I was intrigued by your post.

Install wasn't too difficult if you have any experience with Pi.Īs many here like to keep things as native as possible I thought this was a neat solution getting Qobuz streaming (currently listening to Kurt Vile in 24 bit stream and it sounds excellent) all controlled from the Naim app. Once setup, the Naim app sees the MoodeAudio UPNP player (like any other UPNP player) and you are able to use it to control the Tidal and Qobuz streaming natively in the Naim app. Here is the reason I am posting about this.

I set up the UPNP settings for both Tidal and Qobuz. I looked this up and got to and was intrigued as KRM had said his brother used it to play Qobuz.Īnyway, after following some pretty easy instructions on setting up a Pi for Moode, I had the Moode player up and running. In the same thread, member (KRM) mentioned Moode. After following the excellent recent thread about the use of BubbleUPnP to play Qobuz to Naim streamers I thought I would buy a raspberry PI to move BubbleUPnP from my IMAC to the Pi following Simon in Suffolk's advice on his setup.
